Well, this is embarrassing…actually not really embarrassing, just humbling. There are so many great Mexican restaurants in Denver, Colorado, and the nation, and we’re excited that MSN has named us the best in Colorado in their recent article “The Best Mexican Restaurant in Every State.”
From the website: “Originally a taco truck, chef Kevin Morrison’s Tacos Tequila Whiskey puts a modern twist on comida de la calle (Mexican street food), along with small-batch tequilas. You’ll want to start with an order of queso fundido con chorizo and homemade chips, but from there it gets more difficult to choose. Carnitas? Pollo a la crema? Asada, lengua, or rajas con crema y maiz? There are also chipotle-and-beer-battered fish tacos and citrus-grilled shrimp.”

Raquelita’s know their stuff too, they supply hundreds of restaurants, including Tacos Tequila Whiskey, with the best tortillas you can get and we’ve been working with them since we started slinging tacos from a trailer.
We’ll be calling Phoenix our second home very soon!

The tiny farmers’ markets at Old South Pearl and Highlands are nice, but the main draw is this truck serving authentic street food with attitude—like the seared tongue with guajillo chile–honey mayo. Just don’t say the truck’s name to your Spanish-speaking abuela (grandma); it’s slang for the f-bomb because, yes, the tacos are that good.” ~Sunset
